Specht Harpman's ZeroHouse

zerohouse from the new york-based architecture and design firm specht harpman is a completely self-sufficient house.

it generates its own electricity using high-efficiency solar panels, collects its own 10.220 liters of water, processes its own waste products into clean, dry compost that has to be removed twice a year and is completely automatic: all functions of the house are monitored by an array of sensors and regulated by a house brain that can be controlled through a computer.
