darpa, a u.s. army agency, organises for the third time its grand challenge, a race for autonomous vehicles. this year's race is called urban challenge.
the challenge takes place from october 26 till november 3, 2007 in the californian victorville and the winner gets $2 million. the course will involve a 96 km urban area course, to be completed in less than 6 hours.
