Duke University's monkey controlled robot



in a first-of-its-kind experiment, researchers at duke university's nicolelis lab used the brain activity of a monkey to control the real-time walking patterns of a robot half way around the world.

the duke team is working with the 2004-2009 computational brain project [alt] of the japan science and technology agency. they focus on helping those with paralysis.
