University of Tokyo's Mowgli


ryuma niiyama and yasuo kuniyoshi at the university of tokyo, isi lab, have developed a robot called mowgli, a bipedal jumping and landing robot with an artificial musculoskeletal system. it can jump 50cm into the air, e.g. on a chair, and leap down again. the design of the robot was based on a frog.
its creators also programmed it to kick a soccer ball.
